I.  Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, students will know more how North American and European countries save money and natural resources.

3/ Education: Students should be advised to use energy-saving bulbs instead of ordinary 100-watt light bulbs at home in order to save power at home.

III. Preparation:

- Teacher prepares a textbook, pictures, a tape, a cassette player and so on.

- Students prepare:

+ new words of Unit 7 (page 60 and 61)

- Have sts read the passage silently and find out:

+ The main idea of each paragraph

- Have some sts read the text loudly

- Ask sts to choose the best summary of the passage

- Have sts work in pairs to find out the answers of questions page 61 (text book)

- Ask sts to make questions and answer à give feedback

III/ Post –reading:

+ Discuss the way of saving energy:

- Ask sts to work in groups, discussing the ways to spend less on lighting then write these ideas on the poster.

- Have sts exchange posters and choose the best poster.

 

 

V/ Home work:

-Write 5 sentences about how American and European countries save energy.

-Prepare unit 7 (write).
